Fair Week at Oak Hill

Oak Hill’s Fair Week is held annually for the residents, the residents’ families, and Oak Hill staff.
Activities for the week:
MondayWear a hat day – Free ice cream from 2-3 P.M.
TuesdayDress Western day – Fine Arts Judging in Activity Center. Flyer
WednesdayWear a Johne Deere or green shirt day – Tractor Races/prizes and free popcorn and lemonade in the Activity Center from 2-3:30 P.M.
ThursdayWear a bandana day – Carnival Day: Fair games/prizes and free freshly made funnel cakes in the Oak Hill Activity Center from 2-3:30 P.M.
FridayWear your Team Care shirt – Free fair-themed lunch for staff and residents.
Menu:
Corn Dog or Pork Cutlet
French Fries & Onion Rings
Baked Beans & Coleslaw
Lemonade
Visitors may purchase a ticket for $3.00 at the receptionist desk.

Magnolia Terrace Dog Show

Bring your pooch in for a fun filled time with residents, staff, family and friends. Anyone can participate.

The following categories will be judged:
Best Wag, Best Dressed, Best Trick, Happiest, Cutest, Friendliest, Best Kisser, Most Obedient, Craziest for Toys, Best Smile, Most Vocal and Best Coat.

Registration and meet & greet with the other dogs starts at 2:00 at Magnolia Terrace.

Prizes will be awarded.

Alzheimer’s Association “In the Moment” Support Group

The Alzheimer’s Association “In the Moment” Monthly Support Group meets in the Oak Hill classroom. The first part of the meeting is educational and there will also be time for sharing.  Anyone who cares for someone with memory loss or is a family member or friend is welcome to attend this group.  Literature from the Alzheimer’s Association will be available and refreshments will be served. Community Cake Walk

Residents and their families, staff, and visitors are invited to walk for a cause. 25 cents buys you one walk for a chance to win a baked good. Refreshements will be served. All proceeds go to the American Heart Association. If you would like to donate a baked good, such as cake, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc., please bring it to the Activity Center anytime before the event on 2/13.

Community Pancake Day Races

It’s Mardi Gras at Magnolia Terrace! Anyone may participate but bring a partner because this “race” is done in pairs. There is no running involved. Participants will be competing for a chance to win money and are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras attire. Attire includes the Mardi Gras colors purple, green, and/or gold and non-offensive accessories like beads, masks, and hats.

Arbor Court Residents’ Pancake & Sausage Dinner

Arbor Court residents will be treated to a traditional German supper followed by BINGO. All residents will be enouraged to participate. The supper will consist of potato pancakes and sausage, applesauce, and doughnuts.
